Taylor does not want new Leeds contract

Charlie Taylor

Leeds United defender Charlie Taylor does not want to sign a new contract with the Championship club, says chief executive officer Ben Mansfield.

Left-back Taylor made 43 appearances for Leeds last term, but is out of contract at the end of next season.

The 22-year-old has been linked with moves[1] to Premier League clubs West Brom, Burnley and Middlesbrough.

“We run the risk that he could possibly go for free if we hold on to him,” Mansfield told BBC Radio Leeds.

“I think it’s fair to say at this moment in time that Charlie doesn’t want to extend his current deal with us.”
