Napoli are edging closer to signing Corentin Tolisso from Lyon after the latest meeting between the two clubs reached a positive conclusion.
The Partenopei have been looking to bolster their midfield options this summer and have been linked with several other players, including Marko Rog, Piotr Zielinski and Axel Witsel, but ultimately decided to go for Tolisso.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Napoli will offer €26 million, rising to €28m with bonuses which will be sufficient for Lyon to release their young midfielder, despite earlier reports that they would hold on to him.
Tolisso enjoyed regular first team action last season with Lyon, scoring six goals in 45 matches across all competitions.
His performances with Lyon and France Under-21s made several clubs interested in his services, mostly Arsenal and Southampton who have been scouting the player closely since last season.
