Arboleda, 20, was a member of the the Independiente youth ranks, before moving to Mexico to join Club Tijuana’s reserves in 2014. The Colombian returned to Independiente the following year and has featured for that club’s first team. He is also a former Colombian Under-17 international.
“We’re pleased to welcome Yair Arboleda to the Houston Dynamo,” Dynamo vice president and general manager Matt Jordan said in a team statement. “He is a young and talented prospect with outstanding pace. At 20 years of age, we look forward to seeing him develop and grow within our system.”
