Bayern touch down in Charlotte: the social media wrap

FC Bayern München[1] have arrived in Charlotte, North Carolina, ahead of Saturday’s International Champions Cup meeting with FC Internazionale Milano (kick-off: 23:00CEST/21:00GMT).

Shortly after touching down, Carlo Ancelotti and Thiago Alcantara[2] spoke to the media, the players trained at the Bank of America Stadium and David Alaba[3] answered fans’ questions live on Facebook.

Bayern have won three and lost one of their pre-season outings under new coach Ancelotti, who is happy with what he has seen so far of his new players:

Thiago explained how he and his teammates have been welcomed with open arms by the adoring American public:

There was no sign of any cobwebs as the Bayern players took to the pitch at the Bank of America Stadium for the first time:

The fans in attendance were delighted to see a fit-again Holger Badstuber[4] doing laps of the pitch:

USMNT international Julian Green[5] did not buckle under the pressure of playing in front of a home crowd:

Before hitting the showers, the players posed for selfies with their army of admirers and signed various Bayern memorabilia:

Alaba capped an enjoyable day’s work with a live Facebook question and answer session:
