Barnsley's Roberts out for final games

Marc Roberts

Barnsley captain Marc Roberts will miss their final two games of the season with an ankle injury, head coach Paul Heckingbottom has confirmed to BBC Radio Sheffield.

The centre-back, 26, went off at half-time at Bristol City[1] last weekend.

He will miss Saturday’s visit of Burton Albion and the Tykes’ trip to Newcastle on the final day of this term, 7 May.

Heckingbottom’s side are 14th in the table, two points above 15th-placed Wolves and two below Cardiff, in 13th.
